This is a great video which describes all of the services offered as part of the 2012 Windows Azure release.
Windows Azure has become truly the Rackspace and Amazon killer and those small hosting providers better watch out.
Not only can you now host windows OS virtual machines but Microsoft can also host Linux and any other VM’s you have running on Hyper-V, if you don’t want the overhead of managing a virtual machines Microsoft offer for FREE yes FREE 10 web sites (PHP, HTML, .Net etc..) with cheap scaling options.
Organisations could now move to Microsoft Data Centers for an ‘Office in a box’ solution, removing an organisations need for server rooms, power and cooling. This does how have the flip side that your organisations network bandwidth will need to be highly available and speed increased.
